FanPet Privacy Policy

Who we are
FanPet is a Shopify app made by Fancify LLC ("we", "us"). It lets Shopify merchants show email sign-up popups and give rewards, like discount codes, to their store visitors.
This policy explains what personal data FanPet collects, why, and how long we keep it. It covers two groups: merchants who install FanPet, and visitors to those merchants' stores.
Information we collect
We only collect what FanPet needs to work. We do not collect names, street addresses or payment details of store visitors.

The FanPet script stores a random session ID and popup display state in the visitor's browser (local storage). It does not use advertising cookies.
How we use it
We use personal data only to run FanPet for the merchant. We do not use it for our own marketing.
- Run popups and rewards. Show the right popup to the right visitor and give out the reward.
- Add sign-ups to the merchant's store. When a visitor submits an email, we create or update that customer in the merchant's Shopify admin and mark them as subscribed to email marketing. The visitor gave this consent by submitting the form.
- Show results to the merchant. Count views, sign-ups and orders that came from a popup.
- Support and safety. Answer merchant questions, stop abuse such as spam sign-ups, and fix errors.
For visitors, the merchant decides why their data is collected. We process it on the merchant's behalf and follow their instructions.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We only share it with the services we need to run FanPet:

We may also share data if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep data only while the merchant uses FanPet, and we delete it when Shopify tells us to.

Database backups made by our host may keep deleted data for a short time until they expire.
Security
All data is sent over HTTPS and stored encrypted. Only Fancify LLC team members who need it can access the database, and access to customer data reports is logged.
Your rights
- Store visitors: to see, correct or delete your data, contact the store where you signed up. The merchant sends your request to us through Shopify, and we act on it.
- Merchants: contact us to get a copy of your data or to have it deleted. Uninstalling FanPet also deletes your data (see above).
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have more rights under local law. We will help the merchant meet them.
Our website
When you apply for early access on fanpet.ai, we collect your name, email, store name, Shopify store URL, monthly traffic range and what you want to test. We use it only to review your application and reply by email. The form data is stored by Netlify, which hosts our website. Email us at any time to have it deleted.

Changes to this policy
We will update the date at the top when this policy changes. For big changes, we will tell merchants inside the app.
